With the new feature, coaches can now review situations and key moments on the spot, aiding immediate analysis and instruction for players.

In today's fast-paced football landscape, coaches find themselves in a realm where quick decisions hold the power to reshape the course of a match.

The halftime break is short, demanding the coaches to be exceptionally clear in their communication as they formulate tactics for the second half and analyse the successes and shortcomings of the first half.

With video, it has become easier to analyse matches after the final whistle, allowing both the coach and players to gain insights into their strengths and areas for improvement.

Introducing Instant Playback to Veo users
Until now, not everyone has had the opportunity to do video analysis during matches. But with Veo's new feature, Instant Playback, this is now also accessible to Veo users worldwide.

Users will be able to view and review the entire match or specific moments during or directly after the match. Instead of waiting until the recording is uploaded and processed, users can now view the moments instantly, allowing them to analyse and show their players' different situations right away on the sideline.

Gone are the days when halftime was just a breather; it's now a crucial window of opportunity. There may be situations that the players need to be particularly attentive to in the second half. There might also be individual players from the opposing team who require extra attention during halftime so the team can effectively neutralise that player's impact from the start of the second half.

Instant Playback comes with the redesign of the Veo Camera App. The redesign aims to make it more intuitive to operate the camera and make it easier to manage your recordings. The redesigned Veo Camera App is ready for download for iOS in the App Store and coming to Android soon.

Empowering in-game decisions
Instant playback transforms the halftime analysis from merely exchanging observations to a focused strategic discussion. This isn't just about reliving exciting plays; it's about arming coaches with the insights they need to make split-second decisions that could tip the scales in their team's favor.

“I believe that providing quick feedback to players is highly important,” Mathias Ørum, assistant coach of Danish side Virum-Sorgenfri Boldklub, tells Veo about his views on the importance of instant playback.

“As a coach, when you see something that needs improvement, change in approach on the pitch, or even when players need to be acknowledged for something they've done right, being able to communicate swiftly is crucial.”

For the coaching team at Virum-Sorgenfri Boldklub, quick feedback on matchdays is important because it contributes to both individual and collective player development, which in turn elevates the team's overall performance.

Furthermore, it is important that feedback comes not only from the coaches but also from teammates.

“It's equally important that players provide constructive criticism and praise,” Ørum says. “This creates an environment where each player feels recognized for their contributions and understands what can be enhanced.”

The Instant Playback feature is not only beneficial for the starting eleven; it is also an important tool for the players who are substituted during the match.

“The ability to instantly conduct a mini analysis of recent events on the pitch can be a powerful tool for teams. It's also a means to guide substitutes on what they can do better or be mindful of when they step onto the field,” Ørum ends.

With the new feature, coaches can quickly analyse, explain, and adjust their plans, and turn the game around. So, the next time you see a coach staring at a screen during halftime, know that they're not just watching the game – they're using instant playback to shape the future of the match.
