Veo's latest release, the Veo Cam 3, builds upon the success of its predecessor, the Veo Cam 2, by introducing enhanced features and improvements. We sat down with Veo's Hardware Program Manager, Tania Ryopponen, to gain insight into her experience with the Veo Cam 3 and its impact on game analysis and engagement.

The Veo Cam 2 brought live-streaming capabilities to users, revolutionizing the sports recording experience. How does Veo continue to evolve this experience with the Veo Cam 3 and the recent updates to the Veo Camera smartphone app?

In addition to adding a 5G version and enabling external streaming, we’ve also improved stream performance and made it more intuitive to find and share your live stream with direct links to the live app.

The instant playback feature is a game-changer for coaches and players alike. How does it enhance the user experience, and what prompted its development based on user feedback?

Coaches wanted to see what happened instantly, fans wanted to share the highlights on social media. By giving them access to the video during the game, coaches can show their players exactly what they’re referring to and make quicker, more accurate adjustments to their play.

We also released a new tripod earlier this year. Can you share more about the design process and how it enhances the recording experience for sports teams?

The main goal of the new tripod was to make it lighter to carry, which was made possible with the carbon fiber material. The focus of the design was to make it easier to collapse, simpler to adjust the height when raised, and to ensure stability despite windy conditions.

What key features and advancements can users expect from the Veo Cam 3, and how do they contribute to improving game analysis and engagement?

We wanted to elevate the user experience by increasing connectivity, improving our antennas, sharpening our video quality, reducing wind noise, and removing previous temperature constraints. These features have all been updated on the Veo Cam 3.
