Abbey Stanton recorded a spectacular goal on Veo, a camera that played a vital role in her recruitment journey.

During a typical matchday, as the game unfolded, something remarkable took place. 17-year-old Abbey Stanton, a Madison 56ers 2005 Girl's Red team player in the E64 National League, seized the ball just outside the box and executed a stunning maneuver. She outplayed her direct opponent and found the back of the net with precision, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance.

The goal was captured on the club's Veo camera, which records all the matches Stanton and her teammates play, and was quickly shared on social media, where people praised the young player's technique and dribbling.

“It was a fun surprise to see it posted online and then see how many people had watched it,” Stanton reacts when asked about the views on social media.

The Veo camera on the sidelines has also played a significant role in Stanton's recruitment process.

“Veo was very useful in my recruiting process. It allowed me to provide high-quality footage for college coaches who might not have had an opportunity to see me play in person. It also allows me to see what I can improve on,” she says.

Although Stanton's highlights often consist of fantastic goals, she has also used Veo highlights to show other aspects of the game, which can be just as important as the goal itself.

“I used clips from Veo footage to create highlight videos for coaches and sometimes even sent entire matches. The Veo footage is nice because it is always high quality, and the camera angle allows you to see not just the goals but the build-up and movement as well.”

Next year, Stanton will wear a new shirt as she joins a new team; the Wisconsin Women’s Soccer team will have the pleasure of having Stanton on the field.

“I will be playing for the Wisconsin Women’s soccer team next year and am so excited for the opportunity!” she says before continuing: “I am really looking forward to challenging myself and playing at the collegiate level.”

We're excited to see more of Stanton's impressive dribbling skills and goals. Her journey, documented by the Veo system, highlights her talent and dedication while emphasizing the role of technology in helping young athletes achieve their goals.
