AFC Portchester's Lee Wort scored a spectacular rabona goal against Melksham Town that has been viewed by millions on social media. The Isthmian League striker's spontaneous wonder strike in the FA Cup preliminary round replay is being hailed as one of the best goals ever seen.

Some goals are so iconic that they can be watched again and again. One of these goals may very well have been scored at The OnSite Group Stadium in Portchester earlier this month, where the home team AFC Portchester hosted visitors from Melksham Town in the replay of the FA Cup preliminary round.

In first-half stoppage time, a goal was scored that has been seen by millions on social media and which several describe as the best goal they have ever seen.

Charlie Williamson sent a long ball up from defense to the edge of the box, where striker Lee Wort with a beautiful touch brought the ball down, tricked an opponent and with confidence at its peak attempted a rabona shot, which went into the net behind a helpless goalkeeper. A touch of magic from the striker, who plays in the Isthmian League South Central Division.

Not all players attempt a rabona and succeed with it. This is also not normally the case for Lee Wort, who usually doesn't try such a spectacular shot.

"The gaffer has shouted to Charlie put the ball in behind for me and to be fair to Charlie it was a great ball. I had a quick look where the defenders were, and I thought if I get my touch right I could be in a good spot. After that I wasn't thinking. Rabona isn't something I've ever practiced it just happened. It was just spontaneous as I was having a good game," he says and continues with a laugh:

"I'm just glad it came off because I don't think the gaffer would have been too pleased missing a chance to go 3-0 up!"

As with any other match at The OnSite Group Stadium, there was a Veo camera on the sideline recording. With such a unique goal, there is great satisfaction from the goalscorer, who has also watched his goal a fair number of times, while the recording has also gone viral on the internet, where several million have seen it.

"I'm glad it was caught on the Veo. Unless you was there watching it live it would be hard to explain and wouldn't be spoken about as much as it is. I've watched it back a fair few times, also and in slow motion, and I'm still not sure why I did the rabona finish."

"It means a lot to have it captured on camera. It's something I can show my kids and friends for years to come I will be milking it for as long as I can! It's nice as a player to keep videos and documents of goals you have scored to look back on at a later date," the goalscorer ends.

AFC Portchester won the game 3-1.
