The 70 yards screamer recorded on Veo

Ben Herd scored from 70 yards out in Hertford Town FC’s 3-1 win against Kempston Rovers. Like all other Hertford Town FC matches, it was recorded with Veo.

"I must have watched the Veo back 200 times by the time I went to bed on Saturday," remarked Ben Herd, the former professional footballer currently managing Hertford Town FC in the Southern Division 1 Central. Here, he also plays in central defense.

The reason for the many replays of the Veo footage can be found in the 3-1 home victory against Kempston Rovers. Here, the home team was awarded a free kick in their own half, which Herd took care of. He noticed that the goalkeeper was off his line and took the chance.

"I struck the ball really well, and it flew, and as soon as I hit it, I thought, that’s got a great chance of going in! Then I saw the keeper scrambling, and the ball hit the back of the net," he says about the goal scored from 70 yards out.

This isn't the first time Herd has attempted shots from long range. In fact, he did so the week before this goal, hitting the bar in the match against North Leigh.

This time, the 38-year-old player succeeded and broke into a wild celebration.

"I was honestly ecstatic and ran off to celebrate with some family members in the crowd. What a great day for them to come and watch me play!"

The green Veo cameras are on the sidelines for all of Hertford Town FC's matches and for BHPP Academy, which Ben Herd is in charge of.

"We’ve used Veo for my academy, BHPP Academy, and Hertford Town FC since it came out. It’s a great tool for analysing individual performances and for team feedback. It’s an unbelievable tool, and the platform makes it accessible to everyone, anywhere."

"I wish I had it when I was a younger player. It’s also good for recording your goals!" he concludes.
