The Danish player Mickey Larsen's goal from earlier this month has gone viral on social media. We talked with the player to hear how it feels to see his goal being shared on the major social media channels.

Earlier this month, BK Vest and Jyllinge FC played against each other in the Danish cup. The two teams play in the eighth and seventh-best tier, but this night they met each other in the second round of the Danish Cup.

The guests from Jyllinge FC won the match with a 2-3 victory, but it wasn’t the result that was the most spectacular this evening. It was the goal that the BK Vest player Mickey Larsen scored to 1-1.

Right-back Ahmet Karaca received the ball on the right side and sent a long ball into the box, where Mickey Larsen was at the back of the box and sent the ball into the net with a beautiful first-timer.

Larsen immediately knew that the goal was a fantastic one: “My first reaction when I hit the ball was amazing and I didn’t really know how to celebrate. “That it has gone viral is absolutely insane. It’s a childhood dream that’s coming true because people write me, they like it and share it. It’s so insane that it went so viral! Everyone who knows me has said that they’ve seen it on TikTok. It’s also a childhood dream because you’ve always watched the beautiful goals on video. And now people are watching mine.” Larsen ends.
