Fårevejle looked like the winner in the game against Køge Boldklub in the Danish Serie 1, but with a fantastic volley by Christian Larsen, Køge won the game. 

After a first half where Fårevejle had the initiative and were in front 1-0, the guests from Køge came back, and with only ten minutes left the equaliser came. This was followed by high pressure, and seconds before the final whistle, Køge Boldklub got a corner kick.

Here Christian Larsen received the ball and smashed it into the net with a beautiful volley. The referee blew the whistle and Køge got the three points.

It was not only a release for Larsen, but also for the team that had not played the best match according to the goalscorer:

“It was a huge release for both myself personally, but also for the team. We had not played a good match, but kept getting closer and closer to the winning goal.”

“I really didn’t imagine scoring a goal like this. The goal itself is incredible, but that it’s a victory in the extra time means that I will never forget the goal.” Larsen says.

The game, like so many others, was recorded with a Veo camera. Larsen has seen the goal several times, where the celebrations after the goal also made an impression:

“I could not help but smile as I could both see a great goal and also see my teammates and coaches cheer. I would lie if I said that I haven’t watched the goal a couple of times on video.”

Køge Boldklub records all matches with Veo, and Larsen is not only watching the highlights but also using the platform to make himself better and educate himself.

“I'm the type who likes to study our matches on the Veo platform and see the different highlights that I remember from the matches. So I thought it was a super cool option, and I wish we had had the opportunity to use it earlier. It's incredibly educational, but at the same time, it also provides moments like these that everyone loves to have on video.”

The goal has not gone unnoticed among friends. Larsen has received a lot of messages, while his teammates have also compared him to a couple of superstars:

“I have received a number of comments and messages about how good it was. I already got some nicknames at our training sessions now, and some of my teammates call me Bendtner, Zlatan, and even the local Køge Boldklub legend Abdul Sule has been mentioned.”

“At the same time, people are joking about scoring a screamer in extra time and winning the match. This time, it’s not only a joke but the truth!” Larsen ends.
